The Department of Planning is seeking comments from land owners and stakeholders in the North Fremantle area about plans to improve road safety, traffic conditions and beach access in the area.
Two options are being considered for the future extension of Curtin Avenue to either Tydeman Road or Stirling Highway.
The department’s plan to extend Curtin Avenue was developed in consultation with some key stakeholders. The main objectives of the plan are to:
- change Port Beach Road to an access road to the nearby beaches;
- improve safety and efficiency for commercial traffic; and
- improve safety and access for the local community.
