The precinct plan aims to optimise land use surrounding Ashfield station and use of the rail service, take advantage of Ashfield's strategic location in the metropolitan area and guide development of under-used industrial land.
This precinct plan will provide strategic direction for the future development of Ashfield over the next 20 years and enable the City of Bayswater, Town of Bassendean, Western Australian Planning Commission and other relevant stakeholders to make informed decisions about the future use of land within, and adjacent and connected to, Ashfield.
The Department for Planning and Infrastructure, in conjunction with the Town of Bassendean and City of Bayswater, is seeking comment on the draft Ashfield Precinct Plan.
The public comment period closed on Monday 25 May 2009.
