We collect your personal information for the purposes of assessing and liaising with you regarding your deputation request.

What would happen if we do not collect your personal information?

Your submission may not be provided to the DAP Panel and may not be able to take into consideration your support or opposition to the proposed development

Who will we disclose your personal information to?

Deputation requests made to the Development Assessment Panels are publicly available on the DAP website. 

Publication of deputation requests and accompanying documents is mandatory through the requirements of Section 3.6.10 of the Development Assessment Panels Practice Notes: DAP Standing Orders 2026. These are made under the Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panels) Regulations 2011.

Access to and correction of your personal information

Your application will be unable to be lodged and determined by the relevant Development Assessment Panel and will not proceed further.

We collect your personal information for the purpose of DAP Executive Director maintaining a register of notified gifts.

We will seek your consent to use your personal information for any secondary purpose that is not outlined in this notice.

What would happen if we do not collect your personal information?

You will be non-compliant with the Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panel) Regulations 2011 and Development Assessment Panel Code of Conduct – Part 4.

Who will we disclose your personal information to?

The information may be shared with the Minister for Planning and Lands. Information provided would include name and details of the gift declaration and would be included on the gift register maintained by the DAP Executive Director.

We collect your personal information for the purposes of assessing and liaising with you regarding your declaration of interest related to the Development application being considered.

What would happen if we do not collect your personal information?

Your declaration of interest will not be determined, and you will be non-compliant with the Planning and Development (Development Assessment Panels) Regulations 2011, Development Assessment Panel Code of Conduct.

You may also be in breach of Section 266(3) of the Planning and Development Act 2005, fines apply.

Who will we disclose your personal information to?

The Department may share information with:

  1. Minister for Planning and Lands
  2. Presiding Member
  3. Members of Public
